This is the course website from the second time I taught this course. It focuses on using tools like Linux, R, and Python for doing business analytics work. I have been inspired by numerous other similar courses and resources available on the web. I've tried hard to give attribution. I've also developed a bunch of my own material and this is my way of giving back. I hope others teaching similar courses find something helpful here.

This is a demonstration version of the online Business Analysis and Modeling class I taught at Oakland University in Fall 2013. The purpose of this Moodle course is to help illustrate some of the teaching methods used as part of an article I wrote comparing a computer lab based version (which I've been teaching for over 10 years) of this course to this new online version.

This course covers fundamentals of spreadsheet modeling, spreadsheet engineering and spreadsheet application development. Advanced topics include optimization modeling, simulation modeling, and misc. data analytics topics. There are over 100 video screencasts covering a huge range of topics. Numerous Excel workbooks and other files are included.
